Fender Washers
Fender washers are flat washers with a larger outer diameter relative to the inner hole. Unlike regular washers, fender washers are specifically designed to spread the load on the washer. They are ideal for thin materials like sheet metal.
Their main benefits are that they provide a larger surface area, and have a larger diameter. Both characteristics are integral in better distribution of the load. Their highest use applications are sheet metal, automotive, and electrical. Their name is derived from their application with automobile fenders.
All purpose general washers that can be stamped up to 7″ OD, 5/16″ thick, all the way down to .005″ thin.
